3. Optical coherence tomography
Recent scientific studies demonstrate that the use of computer imaging technology such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) now allows for precise measurements of the retinal nerve fiber layer that cannot be seen with the naked eye. This test makes it possible to monitor and detect the loss of optic nerve cells over time.
4. Optical disc photograph
Photographs of the optic nerve document the severity of optic nerve damage and are useful for monitoring changes over time.
5. Pachymetry
It is the measurement of the thickness of the cornea layer of the eye that can influence the measurement of your eye pressure.
6. Gonioscopy
This is an examination of the angle at which fluid drains from your eye.
